I stumbled across Dan’s vetting class on Fet and thought, why not? It’s was a very thorough primer to kink that I didn’t know I needed. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I signed up for his next class on negotiation immediately after the class ended. Being new to kink, negotiation was something I didn’t have a clue about so this class most likely saved me from a lot of mistakes. Dan is a super sweet guy and I’d recommend his classes to anyone.
This was a great class! SirKnottyDan was a very thorough and engaging teacher. It made me excited for when I can attend the in-person events. This seems like a very welcoming and professional group. Thanks!
The May 5, 2020 Negotiation class was my third online class and held up to the high standards of the other courses. Only point off because the lecture sytle is not terribly engaging.
I really enjoyed this class and got a lot out of it. I’m in a D/s relationship with a little/middle/sub and there was so much that was useful. I learned that negotiation takes place all the time and Dan gave great examples. I learned how detailed to get with negotiation and to take things out to there logical conclusions when planning a scene. I learned that communication is critical, but that a top also has to always be observing for other unspoken cues. I’m still new to the community and Dan basically gives the tools that we need to find our way and grow. I love his teaching style. He’s very enthusiastic about the subject and the content and that keeps me engaged.
This was my fourth event through ATUSD and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m in a relationship, but I really want to be more active and a part of the community and this class was still very much geared toward that as well. I learned a lot about what the community values and how to navigate it more adeptly. I also learned that self-awareness and understanding what it is you want will help clarify things as well. It gave me a lot to talk about with my partner and it was a valuable experience. I also love Dan’s teaching style. He seems like an extrovert like me and he’s very excited about the content which makes all the difference.
I highly recommend you take this class. You will get great information that can be used in most lifestyles.
Find & Vet Potential Play Partners was my second class and I’m satisfied enough I signed up for a third. Not a five star review because of the limitations of the online lecture format. Audience questions & participation might help
This was an excellent overview of the considerations one should take before beginning rope bondage. The emphasis on safety is well covered. The overview of rope bondage was especially interesting. Glad I took the class.
The class breaks down the aspects of a tie well. I like the divisions of before, during, and after tie set up. It has lots of good information focused on safety. I did the online version during the covid-19 quarantine. So there was no tie practice with the class, but still a very practical class for beginner rope bondage.
The class was well organized and full of good information. I suggest creating a shareable document such as google doc or sheet that has the basic vetting criteria to handout along with the slideshow.
